Asking a dumb question I keep hearing about laps for the ultra’s. Im planning on running the Dallas ultra and trying to understand what that means. Is it more than one time around the whole course or is it multiple times around the purple section. From Spartan Race: The new Ultra event is a unique event with unique Ultra-specific obstacles and challenges; the Ultra will no longer be an extension of the Beast event (like the 2017 and prior Ultra Beast). The Ultra is geared for true endurance-focused Spartans, with a minimum distance of 30 mi/ 50km. Upon completion of this 30 mile test of McCormick Farms is made up of more than 1000 acres, complete with rich dense forest, a 200-foot deep quarry, rolling hills and steep riverbanks that will test your technical ability. Voted favorite venue by Spartan staff, it features an amazing Festival area and is located near Fort Bragg and local skeet shooting to keep the action going when 4 rounds for time: 500-meter row, 800-meter run. Saturday: OFF. Rest and recovery. Commit to Your First Race. If you can easily run a 5K, commit to a Sprint. If a 10K is a breeze, commit to a Super. If a half-marathon is no problem, commit to a Beast. If you can run a marathon (and/or are downright crazy), commit to an Ultra.
Vernon, NJ Beast. I signed up for my first Spartan race, the Beast at Vernon, NJ. Was curious how long should I expect to be on the course. On a normal 13 m run, it would take me a little less than 2 hours. However, I have been following this sub for a while and have learned that Vernon is almost all up a mountain.
